I have been working in the music industry for over 20 years, in artist management, event & festival management, business development, marketing and brand partnerships. The artist I have worked with the most is Snow Patrol, who I discovered and began managing back in 1998. Although I no longer manage them, I am involved in their marketing and brand partnerships and am always looking for new opportunities for them.
I have an entrepreneurial attitude and look to create new revenue streams or find new audiences for music focused businesses. I enjoy business development and finding strategic opportunities to grow businesses, whether through marketing, raising investment, securing funding or cultivating sponsorship deals.
Throughout my career, I have worked on festivals T in the Park (Scotland) and Electric Fields (Scotland), run venues QMU (Glasgow, Scotland) and King Tut’s (Glasgow, Scotland) and developed brand partnerships for Miller Genuine Draft. Harp Lager and Guinness. I have also previously raised investment to produce a music festival on a cruise ship.
I recently completed a Masters in Festival, Arts & Cultural Management at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am currently writing a business plan to launch a new immersive music experience using Virtual Reality and projections to complement music in dome structures. I am also one of the JUMP Music tutors.
